One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. To be hired at the GS-12 grade level: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11 if applying at the GS-12 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: experience with information systems requirements analysis, designing test plans, and coordinating interdisciplinary teams of subject matter experts to align project components with organizational needs, and drive projects forward while resolving conflicts. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Major DutiesIdentifies problem areas and determines actions required to improve system operating program effectiveness.Review/analyzes new legislation and proposed policy changes to determine impact on current operations.Develops test plans and prepares tests input situations designed to test functional requirements.Analyzes, plans, develops, tests, and implements project involving operational/system changes caused by legislative, regulatory and policy changes.Interfaces with program staff to establish test schedules, test input/output control, and implement schedules
