Job SummaryAbout the Position: This position is located within AT Augusta Military Medical Center. Incumbent is responsible for the supervision of administrative functions in support of a large subordinate element within an assigned Deputy Command. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Advising on health care system issues and policiesin a medical treatment facility; 2) Providing analysis for the quality improvement programs; 3) Identifying administrative program issues; and 4) Monitoring personnel matters within a medical treatment facility.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Major DutiesResolve complex and unusual healthcare administration issues.Provide leadership, supervision and development to subordinate Health System Specialists and administrative employees.Assist in development and execution of department and service budget.Analyze healthcare policies to ensure they meet quality/productivity standards.Maintain constant communication with senior leadership regarding resource management, personnel management, and healthcare administration for the department.Utilize automated systems to complete human resource tasks, supervisory tasks, and healthcare administration tasks.
