Now, we're looking for a Project Manager Engineer to join our Grid & Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) team. This is your chance to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts on high-impact projects that shape the future of energy. You'll manage the full engineering scope of Air Insulated and Gas Insulated Substation projects-from concept to commissioning, ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency, and seamless execution.

You'll be the technical heartbeat of the project, collaborating with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and consortium partners. Whether it's driving innovation in system design, coordinating resources, or supporting installation and commissioning, your leadership will be key to delivering smarter, more resilient power systems.

How You'll Make an Impact

Lead all engineering activities across the lifecycle of AIS and GIS projects ranging from 69kV to 765kV substationsCoordinate multidisciplinary teams (Primary, Secondary , Civil )and external partnersSupport proposal efforts with innovative, cost-effective solutionsDefine project tasks, schedules, and quality metricsEvaluate risks and opportunities to optimize project outcomesProvide technical support during Procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.Act as the primary technical interface for stakeholdersDrive continuous process improvements across engineering functionsResponsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your Background

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering8+ years of relevant experience in power systems or grid integration.Professional Engineering License or ability to obtainDeep knowledge of National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE standardsExperience with Transmission High-Voltage substations and FACTS technologiesBackground in Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projectsCandidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States Apply now Current employees apply here
