Job Summary:
Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to engine products at the customer's site.
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Grand Prairie, AB).
Will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms complex unassisted engine overhaulsAbility to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic toolsDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsMentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation This role is based in Grande Prairie, and will support both in-shop and field service operations in the Grande Prairie Region.
Alberta Journeyperson HET or Red Seal On and Off Road Certifications required.
This role will operate on a 7x7 shift.
The successful candidate will be expected to travel to support work at other locations on occasion to meet the needs of the business as required.
-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Significant field service work experience
Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
