Cost Basis Operations (CBO) is part of the Custody & Asset Services division of Operational Services. As a Specialist in Cost Basis Operations you will be part of a team that oversees the reconciliation and maintenance of several of our cost basis processes. This is a fast-paced working environment where effective communication and teamwork are a must. Flexibility and adaptability are necessary, because the specialist will rotate through different functions as business needs arise. Duties for this role will include, but are not limited to:
Research across multiple systems to verify transaction informationResearch and processing cost basis adjustments for Retail and Advisor Services clientsProcess corrections in GainsKeeper, Schwab's cost basis systemAnalyze large data sets and determine the cause of issues and the impacts either upstream or downstream. Required Qualifications:
2+ years' experience in Operations Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel and WordAn understanding of Macro based tools and an ability to trouble shoot issues with themProven tax and cost basis experience and knowledge frameworkA good foundation and understanding of financial markets and how individuals interact with themThis role requires strict adherence to the established policies and proceduresAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining the highest level of positivity and professionalismGood decision making and sound judgment skills are a mustAttention to detail is key in being successful in this positionRequires accurate data entry skillsStrong analytical skillsIdentify and communicate issues effectively and timely to peers and management teamAbility to multi-task, understand the importance of follow-throughOutstanding time management and organization skillsBA or BS Series 7/63 In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
