About this role
We're seeking someone to join our team as an Operations Associate to deliver exceptional client service and relationship management across Listed Derivatives and OTC Clearing, acting as a key escalation point while driving operational excellence, risk management and client experience enhancements.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.
This is a Client Services & Relationship Management position at Associate level within Client Service & Relationship Management, which is responsible for managing internal and external client relationships. We do this by engaging in client service activities, optimizing the client experience, and managing vendor/external business partner relationships.

What you'll do in the role: Serve as the primary point of contact for daily client queries, providing timely resolutions and navigating the organization on behalf of clientsManage operational risk associated with margins, expiries, market events and client account activityMonitor client clearing activity to ensure settlement figures are accurate and accounts remain appropriately marginedInvestigate and resolve trade breaks, cash exceptions and operational discrepancies across Listed Derivatives and OTC Cleared SwapsConduct client service reviews, prepare call reports and deliver client metrics and trend analysisProvide clients with clearing solutions, operational training and live demonstrations of client-facing toolsEducate and influence clients on best practices, operational workflows and technology solutionsPartner with Operations, Prime Brokerage, Sales and Technology teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement enhancementsSupport the calculation and adjustment of commissions, fees and P&L-related figures for clientsContribute to the development, testing and rollout of new client technology solutions while maintaining a strong focus on risk and control
What you'll bring to the role: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area responsibilities and operational/compliance policies and proceduresAbility to operate independently across a range of client servicing and relationship management activitiesCulture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core valuesExperience in Futures & Options, Derivatives Clearing or broader derivatives operations and client service environmentsKnowledge of Listed Derivatives and OTC derivatives markets, including clearing and post-trade processesUnderstanding of Hong Kong Exchange (HKEX) rules, regulations and market practicesAbility to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environmentStrong communication and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholdersExperience identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing operational enhancementsAbility to analyze client activity, operational metrics and trends to support strategic decision-makingFluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferredDemonstrated commitment to control, risk management and operational excellenceAt least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
