Job Description: This job is responsible for developing and maintaining a network of business relationships that serve as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities from Bank of America Merrill Financial Advisors. Key responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries and referrals, conducting interviews with prospective borrowers, determining customer financing objectives, and advising customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines, while maintaining regulatory and compliance requirements of the Line of Business. This position may be responsible for the provision of residential mortgage loans, and as such, is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Act registration, employees are required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Responsibilities:

Manages prospecting clients and the initial structuring processes, while determining customer financial objectives and lending needsNegotiates with the client on lending terms, preparing deal justification and related documentation, and advising on related policies and guidelinesMaintains a network of relationships to drive business referrals for lending opportunitiesWorks directly with clients through final loan approval and closing as necessary and ensures data quality of client and deal informationProvides guidance to effectively challenge and influence the strategic direction and tactical approaches of priority decisionsMaintains thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and understands the suite of Wealth Management products and services to support business requirementsManages multiple tasks and sets priorities in line with the bank's overall strategy and prioritization Required Qualifications:

Minimum of five years of experience in a loan origination role with significant experience working with ultra-high net worth and affluent client baseDemonstrated success in prospecting, generating leads, closing business and consistently meeting/exceeding production goalsStrong background in the credit solutions, ranging from standard to custom mortgage products and other securities-based lendingSignificant experience building relationships with clientsUnderstands processing, underwriting and/or closing proceduresWorking knowledge of federal regulations governing real estate lendingStrong communicator, both verbally and in writingSelf-motivated and highly organizedCan prioritize multiple competing tasksCan build and maintain solid referral base (that is, strong community involvement/ties, established relationship with assigned Merrill Lynch financial advisors)Uses appropriate interpersonal styles, communication methods and approaches to gain clientsUnderstands that the level of service provided is directly correlated to driving sales volumeNote: Series 7 and 63 licensing is not required but may be maintained permissively Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with FHA and HUD guidelinesStrong computer skills, including Microsoft applications and previous experience using laptop technology for communication purposes including accessing rate, credit and loan status informationDemonstrates adaptability and flexibilityHas a positive attitudeAbility to take ownership/accountability and demonstrates integrityBachelor's Degree in business or related fieldInternal employees who are currently working from home ae still eligible to apply.
