1 Expert, Science and Technology (F/M/D) Job ID: REQ-10085657 As an Expert in the Method Development Team in Process Analytical Sciences (PAS), you will be responsible for physicochemical method development, optimization, and robustness testing in late-phase pharmaceutical drug development. Using state-of-the-art technologies and scientific expertise, you will support Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) process development within a multidisciplinary project team. We are seeking an experienced scientist with strong analytical expertise, proficiency in data and digital tools, and comprehensive knowledge of DS and DP process development. The role combines experimental laboratory work with technical documentation. The ideal candidate should therefore be comfortable working both in and outside the laboratory. This position is limited to an 18-month fixed term. Standort: Österreich / Schaftenau This role is based in Schaftenau, Austria. About the Role Key Responsibilities · Plan, organize, perform, and document physicochemical method development, including HPLC and CE, in compliance with internal quality and HSE standards. · Use chromatographic, statistical, and other software tools to increase efficiency. · Support the implementation, handover, and transfer of analytical methods · Collaborate with PAS laboratories, Analytical Experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective analytical workflows. · Design and execute physicochemical analytical approaches for DS, DP, and process intermediates in accordance with Quality by Design principles. · Interpret analytical results and apply data and digital solutions to improve efficiency. · Author and review scientific reports, support regulatory submissions · Manage multiple priorities, communicate challenges proactively, and resolve complex issues. · Promote knowledge sharing, present results internally, and contribute to publications, presentations, and patents. · Evaluate new analytical technologies, develop innovative methods using DoE principles, and ensure alignment with scientific standards. What You Will Bring to the Role · University degree in pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or another relevant natural science discipline. · At least 2 years of experience with an MSc or 1 year with a PhD in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. · Knowledge of Analytical Development. · Expertise in biologics DS and DP process development using QbD principles. · Excellent collaboration skills, including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. · Proficiency in written and spoken English; German is beneficial. · Strong proficiency in digital technologies.
