afarax is looking for a freelance Senior Functional Designer. We need you! The project Our client in the insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Functional Designer. Objective of the job: Ensure the stability and operability of the (sub)application Be in charge of translating business requirements into a structured IT solution while keeping a functional approach Help translating this functional design into well-tailored technical design Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements Test the product before delivery to the users Analyse potential corrective actions to be taken Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs Actively support the Project leaders in the project implementation How afarax supports you? Bachelor with a minimum of 5 years' experience in technical analysis Experience with Application Development of Administrative Senior systems in an IT department Able to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people Senior Mastering of MS-Office tools Senior Strong understanding of Source code Cobol MicroFocus and SQL server Web based Client/Server systems with MF back-end (Cobol MicroFocus / SQL server) Batch process experience Cobol MicroFocus / SQL server programming experience .NET ; SQL Functional analysis Lead Functional Analyst IT solution design on large scale projects Agile & Waterfall project methodology Architectural design Experience in the Insurance or Banking domain Life Insurance Contract management, claims and Finance Pragmatic & solution oriented Methodical, analytical and pro-active Quality oriented Good communication skills Quick learner Pro-active and flexible Client Oriented Able to deal with punctual stress situations Able to plan own work with respect of deadlines and budget
