Our ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word). You will need a minimum of three to five years of experience. Post-secondary education is regarded as an asset. Significant previous experience will be taken into consideration. Qualifications-Education is considered an asset in the field of business/finance/accounting or related field-Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably within the construction industry.-Knowledge of construction billing, subcontractor management, holdbacks, and project costing is considered an asset.-Familiar using accounting software-Strong attention to detail and accuracy-Ability to take initiative with excellent communication skills Duties-Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.-Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documentation.-Verify coding and obtain appropriate approvals before processing payments.-Prepare and process cheque runs, electronic payments, and wire transfers.-Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.-Maintain accurate vendor records, including tax and banking information.-Monitor aging reports and ensure payments are made according to agreed terms.-Assist with month-end closing activities, accruals, and account reconciliations.-Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.-Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.-Support audit requests and provide required documentation.-Assist with continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and internal controls.-Ensure compliance with company policies, GST/PST requirements, and applicable regulations.-Demonstrating high attention to detail, strong analytic and problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask
