urple Communications Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable *Accounts Receivable Clerk* to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer invoicing, payment processing, collections, account reconciliations, and accounts receivable reporting. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an early-career accounting professional who is organized, eager to learn, and committed to providing excellent customer service while maintaining accurate financial records.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare, issue, and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time using *Jobber* * Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts * Process customer payments and apply payments to the appropriate accounts * Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation * Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies * Respond professionally to customer billing inquiries and payment-related questions * Generate accounts receivable reports and assist with month-end procedures * Utilize *Jobber* for customer account management, invoicing, and payment tracking * Assist with account reconciliation and financial reporting in *QuickBooks Online (QBO)* * Work collaboratively with management and operations staff to resolve billing issues * Assist with general accounting and administrative duties as required * Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information * Contribute to a professional and organized office environment
*Qualifications*
* Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field * Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeping, Finance, or related role is considered an asset * Experience with *Jobber* is considered a strong asset * Experience with *QuickBooks Online (QBO)* is a strong asset; however, training will be provided to candidates who meet the eligibility requirements of the Nova Scotia Graduate to Opportunity (GTO) Program * Strong understanding of invoicing, payment processing, collections, and account reconciliations is an asset * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook * Strong organizational and time-management skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work independently and handle confidential information * Knowledge of Canadian accounting practices is considered an asset * Must be eligible for the *Nova Scotia Graduate to Opportunity (GTO) Program*
*Eligibility Requirement*
This position is contingent upon eligibility under the *Nova Scotia Graduate to Opportunity (GTO) Program*. Applicants must have successfully completed an eligible post-secondary program within the timeframe required by the GTO Program and meet all applicable program eligibility criteria at the time of hiring.
Recent graduates with limited accounting software experience are encouraged to apply. Training and mentorship will be provided to qualified candidates who meet GTO funding requirements.
Pay: $42,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
