Lakeridge Auto Gallery is seeking an experienced and people-focused *HR Manager* to join our automotive dealership group, supporting our group of companies and a diverse workforce across our operations.
This is an opportunity for an HR professional who can operate strategically while remaining hands-on. The successful candidate will partner with dealership leadership to strengthen people practices, develop talent, support employee engagement, and ensure consistent and compliant HR processes across the group.
*Job Summary*
As HR Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to General Managers, Department Managers, and employees across the organization. You will oversee the full employee lifecycle?from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, development, employee relations, and offboarding.
You will be responsible for creating consistency across all companies while recognizing the unique operational needs of each dealership.
*Job Duties and Responsibilities*
_*HR Leadership & Business Partnership*_
* Partner with senior leadership and dealership management on people strategies and workforce planning. * Provide practical HR guidance to managers on employee relations, performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace issues. * Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational objectives. * Promote a positive, accountable, and high-performance workplace culture. * Identify HR trends and recommend solutions that support business performance. * Demonstrate competence with technology and software programs
_*Employee Relations & Performance Management*_
* Coach managers through employee relations matters and performance concerns. * Lead investigations and support appropriate resolution of workplace issues. * Administer and continuously improve performance management processes. * Support managers in establishing clear expectations, accountability, and development plans. * Promote early intervention and effective conflict resolution.
_*Compliance & HR Administration*_
* Ensure HR practices comply with applicable Ontario employment legislation and organizational policies. * Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. * Oversee employment documentation, onboarding, leaves, accommodations, terminations, and other HR processes. * Partner with payroll and benefits providers to resolve employee and administrative matters. * Maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory developments affecting the workplace.

* Help build a consistent employee experience across all companies. * Develop initiatives that improve engagement, communication, recognition, and retention. * Support leadership in creating an inclusive, respectful, and accountable workplace. * Use employee feedback and HR data to identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
_*Learning & Development*_
* Coordinate onboarding, orientation, compliance training, safety training, and professional development. * Support leadership development and succession planning. * Develop initiatives that strengthen employee capability, engagement, and retention.
_*Workforce Planning*_
* Oversee recruitment across the dealership group, including sales, service, parts, administration, and management positions. * Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and establish effective selection criteria. * Monitor recruitment metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring effectiveness and retention.
*Job Requirements*
* 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or multi-company environment. * Experience working directly with managers and senior leadership. * Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards and workplace legislation. * Demonstrated experience in employee relations and performance management. * Experience managing recruitment across multiple departments or locations. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. * Excellen
