About this role
We are looking for a CAD/CAM Programmer to join our team and assist with programming HVAC fittings, custom sheet metal components, and other fabricated material.
Our shop uses SDS (Shop Data Systems) for programming and production. Experience with SDS is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong CAD/CAM background and is comfortable learning new software.
Responsibilities include:
* Programming HVAC fittings and custom sheet metal components for production * Creating and modifying parts using CAD/CAM software * Preparing jobs for CNC/laser cutting equipment * Reading and interpreting drawings, measurements, and specifications * Working with shop and office staff to ensure parts are programmed accurately and efficiently * Assisting with custom fabrication layouts and material optimization
Ideal candidate:
* Has previous CAD/CAM experience * Has experience with SDS (Shop Data Systems), or similar fabrication software * Has knowledge of HVAC fittings, ductwork, or sheet metal fabrication * Understands basic fabrication and manufacturing processes * Is comfortable working with dimensions, drawings, and custom parts * Has good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
HVAC or sheet metal experience is a strong asset but not necessarily required. We are willing to train someone with the right CAD/CAM skills, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
