Join our team as a Barista and become the heart of a dynamic coffee experience in the heart of Stony Plain! We are a unique blend of a coffee bar and a home decor store on a busy Main Street. In this energetic role, you will craft delicious beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest, ..many whom have become our friends.
*Schedule*
Thursdays 9:45 am to 3:45 pm
Fridays 9:45 am to 3:45 pm
Saturdays 8:45 am to 3:00 pm
*Responsibilities*
* Arrive punctually * Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages * Operate Point of Sale systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently * Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with integrity and attention to detail * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. * Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns * Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards are upheld * During slow hours, helping other staff on the retail side of the store
*Qualifications*
* Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! * Punctuality and strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently * Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities * Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately * Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures * Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as serving and food preparation.
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
