*Job Overview* We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities that include monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents as they arise.
*Duties*
* Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. * Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks. * Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary. * Enforce company policies and procedures regarding access control and visitor management. * Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities. * Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraudulent activities. * Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
*Skills*
* Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and practices. * Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times. * Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel. * Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. * Emergency First-Aid & CPR Level C/AED required * One (1) year of prior security experience in the province of Ontario required
