Gabby?s Parkway Mall is looking for an experienced, hands-on *General Manager* to join our leadership team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced restaurant manager or Assistant General Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career. You?ll work closely with *hands-on ownership and an experienced operations team*, giving you the support needed to successfully lead the restaurant while continuing to grow professionally.
We?re looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, developing people, creating great guest experiences, and keeping restaurant operations organized and running smoothly.
What You?ll Do
* Lead and support the restaurant team during day-to-day operations. * Work closely with ownership to maintain strong operational standards and achieve restaurant goals. * Coach, train, and develop FOH and BOH team members. * Create and manage staff schedules based on business needs and labour targets. * Maintain high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality. * Help manage labour costs, food costs, inventory, ordering, and other key restaurant performance targets. * Monitor guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally. * Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. * Help identify opportunities to increase sales, improve guest retention, and strengthen the restaurant's presence in the community. * Ensure compliance with health and safety, food handling, and responsible alcohol service requirements. * Support the coordination of restaurant maintenance and equipment repairs. * Provide hands-on leadership during busy services and step in wherever needed to support the team.
What We?re Looking For
* *2?3+ years of restaurant management experience*, preferably in a casual dining or similar environment. * AGM, Assistant Manager, or General Manager experience is an asset. * Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable. * Good understanding of restaurant operations, including *labour, scheduling, inventory, food costs, and sales*. * A genuine focus on hospitality and creating positive guest experiences. * Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. * Comfortable using POS systems and restaurant scheduling/reporting tools. * A hands-on management style and willingness to work alongside the team. * Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * *Valid Smart Serve Certification and Food Handler's Certificate.*
