About this role

We?re looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and take charge of day-to-day accounting operations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows accounting inside and out, is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy construction environment. You?ll oversee our payroll, accounts payable and receivable, work with our third-party accounting services, and make sure everything on the accounting side of the business is running smoothly and accurately.

Responsibilities

* Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company * Supervise and support our Payroll Clerk, including ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time * Supervise and support our Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk * Review and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping * Manage our relationship and day-to-day coordination with third-party accounting services * Review financial records and ensure accounts are accurate and up to date * Prepare and review financial reports and provide management with information to support business decisions * Monitor cash flow, expenses, and overall financial performance * Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management * Ensure accounting procedures and company policies are being followed * Work with management, office staff, and project teams to resolve accounting and financial issues * Help improve accounting processes and keep things running efficiently * Handle other accounting and financial responsibilities as required

Requirements

* CPA designation * Previous experience in an accounting management or senior accounting role * Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting * Experience with Sage, SharePoint and Microsoft Office including Excel * Experience supervising or managing accounting staff * Strong organizational and time-management skills * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Construction industry experience would be considered an asset

Pay: $105,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
