The Residential Services Shelter Manager is a dynamic positive team player and oversees all operations concerning the Womens Safe Shelter and 2nd Stage Housing. This position demands outstanding written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and experience working with victims of interpersonal violence. De-escalation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills are essential to success. DUTIES Leadership o Plan, develop, implement and evaluate department operationso Resolve and mediate any client/staff issueso Prepare regular reports for funders and board with Executive Directoro Prepare a multiyear work plan and related budgets based on strategic plano Staff scheduling Administrative and Fiscal Managemento Ensure regular maintenance and building upkeepo Monitor program expenditures against established budgetso Ensure accurate statistical collectiono Oversee daily operations and 2nd Stage Housingo Collaborate with Executive Director to compile research and organize funding reports and staff training. Personnel Managemento Manage Human Resources with Executive Directoro Manage staff orientation, training, schedules and time sheets o Administer confidential staff management and personnel files Community Relationso Attend provincial, regional and local meetingso Ongoing communications and public relations activitieso Client advocacy and interagency liaison QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree/Post-secondary education or a combination of education and 1-3 years management and supervisory experience is required to fulfill the duties above Experience in work planning, budgeting and financial monitoring Experience working with at-risk individuals preferred Experience in property management and housing advocacy is an asset Demonstrate knowledge of and empathy for victims of interpersonal violence Possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to reliable transportation
