Office Assistant / Administrator ? QuickBooks & Payroll

*OPC Services Inc.* is looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented *Office Assistant / Administrator* to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support and assist with *QuickBooks, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, employee records, and general office operations*. Experience in construction, demolition, or asbestos abatement is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day office administration and organization * Enter and maintain financial information in *QuickBooks* * Assist with *weekly payroll processing*, including employee hours, deductions, vacation pay, and statutory requirements * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable * Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and basic financial reports * Maintain accurate employee and company records * Track timesheets, expenses, receipts, and job-related documentation * Assist with WCB, benefits, and other employee administration * Answer phones, respond to emails, and communicate with employees, suppliers, and clients * Organize digital and paper files * Assist Project Managers and management with administrative tasks * Prepare documents, spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence * Maintain confidentiality of payroll, employee, and company information * Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications & Experience

* Previous experience in an *office administration or accounting support role* * Strong experience with *QuickBooks* * Experience processing *payroll* * Good understanding of accounts payable and receivable * Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel * Excellent organizational and time-management skills * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks * Professional communication skills * Previous experience in construction or a similar industry is an asset
