Job Description
Bombay Banquet Hall in Surrey, BC is currently looking for *two reliable and professional Part-Time Security Guards* to join our team for evening events.
The Security Guards will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, staff, and property during weddings, parties, receptions, and other events.
Responsibilities
* Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and event spaces during scheduled events. * Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for guests and staff. * Monitor guest activity and identify potential safety or security concerns. * Assist with crowd control when required. * Respond professionally and calmly to disturbances, conflicts, or inappropriate behaviour. * Help prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas. * Conduct regular walkthroughs of the banquet hall and surrounding property. * Communicate security concerns promptly to banquet hall management. * Assist management and event staff in enforcing venue policies. * Contact emergency services when necessary and assist in emergency situations. * Complete incident reports when required. * Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with guests.
Requirements
* Valid *BC Security Worker Licence*. * Previous security experience is preferred, particularly in banquet halls, event venues, bars, clubs, hotels, or similar environments. * Strong communication and conflict-management skills. * Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. * Reliable and punctual. * Comfortable working around large crowds and busy events. * Able to stand and walk for extended periods. * Must be available for evening and late-night shifts. * *Weekend availability, particularly Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, is important.*
Schedule
This is a *part-time evening position*. Hours will depend on our event schedule and may include:
* Friday evenings * Saturday evenings * Sunday evenings * Occasional weekday events * Late-night shifts depending on event finishing times
