About this role
*Position Overview: *ARIS Building Technologies is seeking a *licensed plumber* to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have strong plumbing experience and an interest in expanding their skills into *commercial HVAC, hydronic systems, boilers, pumps, and gas-fired equipment*. The successful candidate will be expected to perform regular HVAC service work and will be supported in obtaining the appropriate *Gas Technician certifications (G3/G2)* as part of their professional development. *Key Responsibilities: Plumbing & Mechanical*
* Perform commercial plumbing repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting and installations. * Diagnose and repair domestic water, drainage, piping, valves, pumps and related mechanical systems. * Complete plumbing work associated with HVAC and mechanical equipment. * Read and interpret drawings, specifications and equipment manuals. * Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action. * Maintain accurate service reports, documentation and material records.
*HVAC & Hydronic Systems*
* Perform preventive maintenance and service on commercial HVAC equipment. * Assist with troubleshooting and repair of boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion tanks, hydronic systems and associated components. * Work on heating and domestic hot-water systems. * Learn and perform HVAC service procedures under the direction of senior technicians. * Develop the ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and control-related issues.
*Gas & Combustion Systems*
* Obtain and maintain required Gas Technician certifications, with company support. * Assist with servicing gas-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters and related equipment. * Progressively take on gas-related service responsibilities as certification and experience are obtained. * Follow all applicable TSSA, gas code, OHSA and company safety requirements.
*Service & Customer Relations*
* Respond to service calls and troubleshoot equipment efficiently. * Communicate professionally with customers, property managers and building operators. * Identify additional repair or maintenance opportunities and communicate findings to the service manager. * Maintain a professional appearance and company vehicle/equipment. * Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
*Safety & Compliance*
* Follow ARIS safety policies and procedures at all times. * Use appropriate PPE and safe work practices. * Maintain required trade licences, certifications and training. * Participate in ongoing technical and safety training.
*Candidate Requirements:*
* *Licensed Ontario Plumber ? 306A preferred.* * Commercial plumbing experience preferred. * HVAC/mechanical experience is an asset. * Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. * Genuine interest in developing HVAC and gas-service skills. * Willingness to obtain *G3 and G2 Gas Technician certification*. * Valid Ontario driver's licence with a good driving record. * Ability to work independently and as part of a service team. * Strong communication and customer-service skills. * Ability to work in mechanical rooms, commercial buildings and construction/service environments.
*Wage Range:Recommended base wage: $40?$50/hour*, depending on experience, licensing and existing HVAC/mechanical skills.
