Job Description
Peg?s Bistro in Winnipeg is looking for a reliable and motivated *Food Service Supervisor* to join our team. The successful candidate will help oversee daily food service operations, support and supervise staff, maintain food quality and safety standards, and ensure customers receive excellent service.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff * Assign duties and prepare work schedules * Train new employees in job duties, food safety, and restaurant procedures * Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently maintained * Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant * Ensure proper food handling and workplace safety procedures are followed * Monitor inventory and assist with ordering food, beverages, and supplies * Help resolve customer concerns professionally * Assist management with smooth day-to-day restaurant operations * Maintain records related to inventory, waste, and daily operations * Support the team during busy service periods as required
Qualifications
* Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality is preferred * Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Reliable, organized, and punctual * Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices * Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
