*The Role*
We are seeking a motivated, well-rounded *Senior Accountant* to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of client engagements, help streamline workflow processes, and work directly with local business owners. You will play a key role in onboarding new clients and sharing your knowledge to help develop our team.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Engagements & Compliance:* Prepare Review, Compilation (Notice to Reader), Corporate Tax (T2), and Personal Tax (T1) engagements. * *Client Engagement:* Build and maintain excellent, trust-based working relationships with our diverse client base. * *Team Development & Process Improvement:* Collaborate with the team to identify process efficiencies, share technical expertise, and mentor junior team members. * *Client Onboarding:* Assist with seamlessly integrating new clients into the firm's workflow and systems.
*Qualifications & Experience*
* *Public Practice Experience:* Minimum 1 year of experience in a Canadian public practice firm. * *Designation:* Designated CPA, or actively working toward your CPA designation. * *Software Proficiency:* Strong working knowledge of Caseware, TaxCycle, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Excel. * *Technical Aptitude:* Exceptional computer skills with the ability to adapt to new technologies and cloud accounting tools quickly. * *Soft Skills:* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and balance multiple engagement files.
