*Your day-to-day responsibilities*: As a driver at VA, you represent the company on the road and when interacting with customers.
* Make deliveries and pickups according to the established schedule; * Drive a semi-trailer truck safely; * Handle merchandise (primarily appliances and furniture) when loading or unloading the trailer; * Provide impeccable customer service during deliveries and pickups; * Collect payments, if applicable, and turn them over to the appropriate personnel; * Ensure the compliance and safety of your truck and cargo (RDS, maximum loads, transport documentation, etc.);
*Do you have what it takes to rise to the challenge?*
* You hold a Class 1 driver?s license with an FM endorsement; * You are able to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding work; * You have at least 2 years of experience driving heavy vehicles on Quebec roads (you must have driven in winter conditions); * You have an exemplary driving record; * You drive preventively and safely; * You are comfortable serving our customers in French and English (functional French required, as some customers are French-speaking); * If you hold a DEP in heavy vehicle driving, that is a plus
