STAR AUTO SERVICE LTD is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Edmonton. A Journeyman licence is not required, but the successful candidate must have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems * Perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs * Repair brake, steering, suspension, cooling, and other automotive systems * Remove and replace engines and transmissions * Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems * Complete assigned repairs accurately and efficiently * Maintain a clean and organized work area * Communicate with the service manager regarding repair progress and additional issues
Requirements
* Previous professional experience as an automotive mechanic * Good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures * Ability to replace engines and transmissions * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Working knowledge of English * Valid driver?s licence * Reliable transportation to and from work * Canadian automotive repair experience is preferred * Personal tools are preferred but not required * Journeyman certification is not required
