About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Air conditioned. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Wet/damp. Work setting: Pet grooming shop. Tasks: Assist clients/guests with special needs. Be the point of contact when in need to handle emergency situations. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Monitor quality and production levels. Oversee cleaning of specialty and difficult items. Prepare and submit progress and other reports. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Establish work schedules and procedures. Supervision: 3-4 people. Type of pets groomed: Cats. All breeds of dogs. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Client focus.
