Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Office. Tasks: Install equipment. Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Maintain equipment. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Supervise the building and testing of prototypes. Test power equipment and systems . Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Conduct safety training programs. Collect and compile operational or experimental data. Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports.
