Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems. Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors. Estimate repair costs. Prepare cost estimates. Employment terms options: Early morning. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
