Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Hot. Tasks: Maintain shift log of production and other data. Make adjustments necessary to ensure the smooth running of processes. Observe gauges, computer printouts and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions. Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced. Visually inspect products for quality. Set up or adjust automatic glass feeding, flowing and forming machines. Weigh, measure and check production samples to assess conformance to specifications. Cut glass along marked outlines or around pattern using hand tools. Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut. Operate process control machinery to cut glass or assemble glass window units. Place pattern on or under glass for cutting. Place sheet of glass on padded table or in jig and measure and mark glass. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks.
