About this role

Summary: The Sample Room Technician 2 is responsible for accurately cutting materials using industrial hand scissors and hand‑operated cutting machines, following established patterns, markers, and sample repair specifications. This role supports production, sample room operations, and general assembly tasks while maintaining company safety and quality standards.

Essential Job Duties:

· Material cutting — Performs precise material cutting using industrial hand scissors and hand cutting machines for markers, unique samples, and resizing repairs.

· Laser Cutter Operation — Operates the Laser Cutter machine according to specifications.

· Projects execution: Prepare each project based on its due date

· Flexibility: Be able to make changes easily according to the situation (shifting from one project to another one, work extra hours if necessary)

· Trim Sheet Interpretation — Reads and understand trim sheets to ensure accurate cutting.

· Patterns and Model editor: Read Understand the model editors and patterns for each project so as to use the correct material

· Work with Design team: Report any error (fabric, trim, pattern, marker) to the project owner

· Hot Knife Operation — Uses the hot knife machine to cut trims by their SCI code.

· SCI Code & Inventory — Understands SCI codes and replenishes sample room inventory accordingly.

· Sewer Support — Assists sewers by operating grommet machines, buttonhole machines, bar‑tacking machines, and similar equipment.

· Assembly & Packaging — assists with product assembly and packaging as needed.

· Shipping: Assemble and move packages to shipping area as needed

· Project Monitoring — Monitors ongoing projects in the manager's absence.

· Safety & Quality Compliance — Works in accordance with company safety and quality standards.

· Work Area Maintenance — maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Other Duties — Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Laser cutter or hot knife experience is required.

· Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, textiles, industrial equipment, or related fields is preferred.

· Hands-on experience working with cutting tools, industrial machines, or production equipment is strongly preferred.

Sample room or production experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Qualifications:

· Build Sheet & Cut Request — Ability to comprehend the company's Build Sheet and Cut Request.

· Material Recognition — Recognizes different materials by color, SCI code, denier, and other identifiers.

Requirements: • Must speak, read, and write English at a business level. Incumbent must communicate effectively, accurately, and professionally in a corporate environment to include industry-specific vocabulary, formal correspondence, and the ability to negotiate or present ideas. Must be able to read and follow safety instructions in English. • Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status as required by ITAR.
