What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & General Ledger
• Own general ledger functions, including account reconciliations, journal entries and financial statement preparation
• Review and analyze account balances to identify anomalies and ensure accuracy
• Manage the reconciliation and accuracy of all account balances
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Ensure financial reporting complies with company policies and accounting standards
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
• Monitor financial trends and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support strategic planning through accurate financial analysis and reporting
Cash Management & Fixed Assets
• Oversee cash management processes, reconciliations and reporting
• Analyze variances and ensure accuracy of cash-related transactions
• Maintain and track fixed assets, including depreciation, insurance, licensing and reporting
Audits, Compliance & Controls
• Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
• Support tax reporting and regulatory compliance activities
Process Improvement & Technology
• Lead financial software projects and system enhancements
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures, documentation and training materials
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to streamline accounting processes
Leadership & Team Support
• Serve as a key contact for accounting-related questions and issues
• Mentor and support accounting team members
• Promote best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the business
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Advanced proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
• Working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Experience preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations and analyzing financial data
• Experience supporting audits and process improvement initiatives
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strategic thinking and sound business judgment
• Ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities within financial data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leading projects and driving process improvements

• Mentoring, coaching or team leadership experience
