About this role
To supervise daily plant operations to assure maximum output with minimum expense in a safe and orderly manner on a shift basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop new and update existing standard operating procedures (SOP's) to reflect correct and safe work procedures.
• Organize and distribute updated and/or new SOP's.
• Train all relevant personnel in correct procedures.
• Develop training guidelines and materials for all production positions.
• In conjunction with Production Supervisor and Manager, monitor and document employee training and development.
• Become the expert in all aspects of the ethanol plant, ethanol and co-product loadout and chemical unloading operations.
• Communicate plant operations updates and status to supervisor and Chief Industries staff as appropriate.
• Stay current with new equipment and/or processes.
• Work as Production Supervisor as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist Production Manager as requested.
• Develop and coordinate continuous improvement projects.
• Accurately process timecards in a timely manner.
Education:
• High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
