Job Requirements:
• Berkeley College FWS eligible only
• Proficiency in Canva with demonstrated graphic design skills
• Strong working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Experience creating Reels, Stories, videos, and other social media content
• Experience with Wix or a similar website platform preferred
• Experience using social media planning and scheduling tools
• Strong creative, visual, writing, proofreading, and communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to create content for diverse audiences, including children, teens, adults, and seniors
• Understanding of public libraries and their role in the community is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage engaging content for the Library's Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts
• Design high-quality graphics in Canva for programs, events, services, collections, and other Library initiatives
• Create and edit posts, Stories, Reels, short-form videos, photographs, and other digital content
• Write engaging captions and promotional copy appropriate for each platform and audience
• Photograph and record Library programs and events for promotional use when appropriate
• Develop creative ways to showcase Library programs, materials, staff, volunteers, partnerships, and community activities
• Maintain a social media content calendar and use scheduling/planning tools to ensure consistent and timely promotion
• Assist with maintaining the Library's Wix website, including updating programs, events, announcements, graphics, services, and other content
• Ensure social media, website, and promotional materials are accurate, current, professional, and consistent with the Library's brand
• Collaborate with Library staff to identify promotional needs, gather information, and coordinate upcoming content
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Perform other related digital media, marketing, website, and promotional duties as assigned
