Salary: £43,000 - 72,000 per year
Requirements: Current SC Clearance is essential, with willingness to progress to DV Clearance.Proven experience as a Security Engineer, Platform Engineer, or in a similar role.Hands-on Kubernetes administration and security experience.Strong experience administering Splunk.Experience deploying and managing Nessus vulnerability scanning.Experience deploying and managing EDR solutions.Knowledge of Kubernetes observability tools such as Fluent Bit.Understanding of container security principles and cloud-native security.Scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar.Experience configuring SIEM platforms.Understanding of security frameworks and threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.Desirable: experience with Microsoft Defender.Desirable: experience with additional SIEM or observability platforms.Desirable: DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security experience.Desirable: security certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CISSP, or CEH.Desirable: exposure to threat modelling and security architecture. Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and maintain security tooling within Kubernetes environments.Administer and optimise Splunk for log aggregation, monitoring, alerting, and threat detection.Deploy and manage Nessus for vulnerability scanning, reporting, and remediation.Configure and manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tooling.Integrate security solutions into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native platforms.Automate security processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.Work closely with Platform, DevOps, and Engineering teams to embed security best practices.Maintain configuration documentation and infrastructure as code.Support the ongoing improvement of platform security, observability, and operational resilience.
