Housekeeping & Support Staff – Wilderness Lodge (Seasonal)
Blachford Lake Lodge / Arctic Kingdom Location: Near Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
Blachford Lake Lodge and Arctic Kingdom are seeking Housekeeping & Support Staff to play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. This position focuses primarily on indoor housekeeping, with opportunities to assist outdoors and participate in guest activities as needed.
Duties vary seasonally and are shaped by guest volume and operational needs. Working in an off-grid environment requires flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication. Days can be long and unpredictable, but the role offers the opportunity to work in one of the most unique and inspiring locations in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Housekeeping & Lodge Support
• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and staff spaces
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, bar, laundry, and storage areas
• Complete laundry services and keep laundry areas organized
• Assist with dishwashing on a rotating schedule
• Work with the Lodge Manager to ensure adequate supplies are stocked and ordered
- Kitchen & Food Service Assistance
• Assist with dishwashing and scheduled deep cleans
• Support food service as needed (serving, clearing, delivery to cabins)
• Assist with guest extras such as s’mores kits and takeaway drinks
- Outdoor & Operational Support
• Assist with light outdoor work (shoveling, moving goods, tidying outdoor spaces)
• Support setup and upkeep of guest outdoor areas (tipi, furniture, firewood)

Health & Medical Requirements
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads
• Comfortable working long hours in challenging conditions
Required Qualifications
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Valid serving certification (NWT)
