We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Lexicon team - a collaborative group of product, design and engineering specialists shaping the future of Education Perfect’s AI Learning Coach. This role is ideal for a strongly backend focused engineer who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You’ll design and build scalable C#/.NET services, develop production-grade LLM integrations and help evolve intelligent, high-performance systems that deliver meaningful value to students and educators. Alongside hands-on engineering, you'll contribute to architecture, experimentation and mentoring as we scale a live, production AI system that's already making a difference for students and educators across the platform.
What you will do
Design and build production-grade LLM integrations and services in C#/.NETDevelop secure, scalable, high-performance backend systemsManage prompt pipelines, streaming and parallelised executionSolve complex challenges related to system integration, stability and performanceCollaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers on new featuresContribute to architecture, system design and refactoringExperiment, prototype and explore new AI capabilitiesDeliver customer value in small, continuous incrementsMentor and support other engineers within the teamAbout you
Strong expertise in C# / .NETExperience designing and building APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)Hands-on experience shipping production LLM features to real usersAbility to design secure, scalable and maintainable servicesSolid understanding of system design, performance and reliabilityExperience operating cloud software at scaleFamiliarity with technologies such as Kafka and SQL/PostgresExperience working with AI platforms (e.g. AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI or similar)Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ownership, growth mindset and comfort with ambiguityExperience collaborating with distributed/global teamsEquitable opportunities, growth, and development lie at the heart of how we work at EP.
