About this role
The Grove Junior School is seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Caretaker to join our hardworking team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our school provides a safe, secure, clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Duties will include site security, routine maintenance, minor repairs, health and safety checks, contractor supervision and helping to maintain the school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
We are looking for someone who:Is honest, reliable, hardworking and proactiveHas good DIY and maintenance skillsTakes pride in achieving high standardsIs willing to undertake training and develop their expertiseHas good organisational and basic IT skillsEnjoys working as part of a team and contributing to school lifeHas a positive and flexible approach when working with children, staff, parents and governorsThe post is for 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with preferred working hours of 1.00pm to 6.00pm. Some flexibility may be available for the right candidate. Additional hours may be available to support out-of-hours lettings.
