Job Description: Gilbane BuildingCompany is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Preconstruction Engineer tojoin our team for the Intel Campus project in San Jose, California. This role offers a uniqueopportunity to contribute to a high-profile project in the heart of SiliconValley, working alongside industry leaders in construction and technology. Responsibilities: Project Records Management: Set upand maintain preconstruction project records, ensuring all documentation isaccurate and up-to-date. Subcontractor Solicitations:Identify and solicit subcontractors for various preconstruction pursuits,ensuring adequate coverage in each scope of work. Scope Estimating: Perform detailed quantitytake-offs and scope estimating for assigned projects. Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed bid scopesfor trade packages and assist with subcontractor buyout. RFI Management: Prepare, track,submit, and distribute preconstruction Requests for Information (RFIs) toresolve design conflicts and clarify project details. Client Relations: Maintain strongrelationships with clients, ensuring their requirements and expectations aremet throughout the preconstruction phase. Team Collaboration: Work closelywith the Division Manager, Estimator, Project Manager, and other operationsstaff to support preconstruction pursuits. Post-Submittal Efforts: Organizefinal estimate notebooks, maintain pursuit documents, and notify subcontractorsof pursuit outcomes. Safety and Quality: Champion Gilbane’s safetyculture and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards on allpreconstruction activities. Qualifications: Education:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in preconstruction or projectengineering, preferably in the construction industry. Skills: Strongorganizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communicationskills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) andpreconstruction software (e.g., ProCore, Tekla, On-Screen Take-off). Ability towork under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and a keeneye for accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large-scaleconstruction projects. Familiarity with the semiconductor industry. Knowledgeof construction management at-risk (CMAR) and design-build delivery methods Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
