Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 pa inclusive of London allowance

Residential Life plays a key role in supporting student wellbeing, fostering inclusive communities and creating a safe, positive living environment across LSE halls. The Deputy Head of Residential Life is a senior leadership role supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of these services across a diverse residential portfolio.

You will lead the day-to-day delivery of Residential Life, overseeing community building, pastoral support and operational service delivery, while deputising for the Head of Residential Life. You will also ensure policies, partnerships and programmes are implemented effectively to deliver a high-quality, student-centred experience.

Candidates should have significant experience in delivering and managing student‑facing services, with the ability to lead operational services effectively. They should also have experience of managing complex student welfare issues and working in partnership with specialist support services. In addition, candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams, fostering an inclusive and high‑performing culture, alongside strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, build relationships and represent services confidently.
