Join our Governance and Legal team as a Senior Administrator (Casework)
The Opportunity
We're looking for proactive and highly-organised Senior Administrator (Casework) to join our Governance and Legal Team, as part of the Chief Financial Officer Directorate.
This is a key role supporting the delivery of the University’s student casework processes, including academic appeals, student complaints and assessment offences. You'll manage a varied caseload, including more complex and sensitive cases, ensuring matters are handled professionally, fairly and in accordance with University procedures and regulations.
Working closely with the Student Casework Manager, and deputising on operational matters where required, you'll play an important role in supporting the effective operation of the University's casework processes, providing specialist advice and guidance, contributing to staff training, and helping to ensure a consistent and high-quality service.
Alongside your casework responsibilities, you'll support the wider Governance and Legal Team through the provision of secretariat services, including officering committees, boards, panels and review meetings.

Experience of working in an administrative or casework environment, including handling complex or sensitive matters Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience of preparing formal correspondence, reports or meeting documentation The ability to interpret and apply procedures and regulations, providing clear advice and guidance to others Accuracy, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion Confidence in working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders A proactive, team-focused mindset and the ability to work independently when required

About the Team
The Governance and Legal team plays a vital role in ensuring the University meets its legal, governance and regulatory responsibilities. Working closely with stakeholders across the University, the team supports the University's corporate governance framework, information governance compliance and insurance activities, student casework management, the provision of legal services, and secretariat services to support the institution in achieving its mission and objectives.
