Role Summary: The Senior Reserving Actuary supports the execution and oversight of Non-Life reserving operations. The role plays a key part in ensuring that processes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with established controls and standards. Working under the direction of the Head of Non-Life Reserving Operations, the Senior Reserving Actuary contributes to the coordination and execution of core operational activities, supports data and reporting processes, and helps maintain a robust and controlled operating environment. Key Responsibilities: Operational Delivery Support Lead the execution of the reserving process, including quarter-close cycles, Deep Dive related activities Contribute to the timely and accurate completion of key operational steps, including data preparation and transformation & system uploads Assist in coordinating operational activities and resolving issues, escalating where appropriate Platform & Tool Execution Support the operation of the Non-Life Reserving Platform and associated tools under the direction of the Head of Actuarial Operations Maintain operational templates, workflows, and configurations Process Development Develop new processes and capabilities within the Non-Life Reserving team Ensure adherence change control requirements including management of testing and releases Data Quality & Controls Support implementation and monitoring of data quality controls Assist in identifying and resolving data issues across systems and outputs Contribute to ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and traceability Stakeholder Coordination Support contact point for operational queries Support coordination across actuarial teams, Finance, and IT Facilitate communication and escalate issues where needed Team Support Support day-to-day prioritisation of team activities Provide guidance to junior team members Qualifications: Technical Skills: Experience in actuarial reserving and operations Good understanding of controls and governance requirements Excellent Python & SQL programming experience Experience designing and developing dashboarding and reporting for a Reserving function Experience contributing to operational delivery or coordination Comfortable accessing information stored in databases and data systems/reports Experience working with ResQ (advantageous) Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly advanced Excel skills Behavioral Competencies: Self-starter with high motivation, team-orientation and adaptability An innovative thinker who will identify opportunities to improve processes Comfortable operating in a changing work environment Good communication and listening skills Strong execution focus with attention to detail Ability to operate effectively under guidance in complex environments Strong organisation and stakeholder coordination skills Work Experience: Experience working in a Non-Life re/insurance business Experience working in a Non-Life Reserving Operations or related role Professional Qualifications Qualified Actuary accredited by an internationally recognised society Additional Information #LI-Hybrid: PartnerRe provides a working environment in which diversity is valued, where all employees feel welcome, respected, and empowered to perform at their best.
