This is a 1st shift position working Monday to Thursday from 5:10am to 3:40pm at the 4th Street location. The hourly rate of pay is $20.48. The Dot Mount Packer inspects and packs finished tile into boxes for shipment. Major Functions and Scope: • Visually inspect tile for quality defects according to control plan specifications and replaces defective tile as necessary. • Packs tile into boxes. • Places correct bar code labels on boxes. • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor. • Follows standard operating and safety procedures. • Keeps area safe, clean and organized. • Performs other related duties as required. Education and Knowledge: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience. Competencies: Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to read and understand basic English. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. Ability to differentiate between colors. Ability to inspect high volume of tile sheets in a fast-pace environment.
