AVL Research & Engineering offers a job in Türkiye (TR) as Senior Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer Qualifications: MSc/PhD or equivalent engineering degree in mechanical, automotive engineering or related technical field Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals, with emphasis on lateral dynamics (handling, steering) and vertical dynamics (ride comfort, road excitation) Hands-on experience in one or more of the following vehicle dynamics simulation tools: AVL VSM, CarMaker, Adams Car, VI-Grade Experience in tire modeling and parameterization (MF-Tire, FTire, CDTire) Knowledge of suspension kinematics and compliance (K&C) and its influence on vehicle handling and ride behavior Familiarity with Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) simulation environments and real-time model requirements Proficiency in data analysis and scripting (Matlab/Simulink, Python) Fluency in spoken and written English (German language skills would be a plus) Self-driven, structured working style with strong problem-solving skills Team player with good communication skills in a cross-functional, international environment Job Description: Develop and maintain vehicle dynamics simulation models with a focus on lateral and vertical dynamics Set up, calibrate, and validate full-vehicle models for handling, driveability, and ride comfort assessments Model and parameterize suspension kinematics and compliance (K&C) and correlate with physical test data Parameterize and validate tire models (MF-Tire, FTire, CDTire) for handling and ride applications Support simulation model setup for Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) integration, commissioning, and testing Prepare, execute, and analyze virtual test maneuvers with a focus on vehicle handling and performance Perform objective assessment of vehicle handling (e.g. understeer gradient, transient response, frequency response) and ride comfort (e.g. weighted RMS accelerations) Analyze and interpret simulation results to derive actionable engineering recommendations for suspension, chassis, and control development Create technical documentation and present simulation findings to internal and external stakeholders Leverage AI-based methods and tools for efficient engineering development, post-processing, and data analysis Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation methods, processes, and tool chains Interested?
