You will be welding at a fixed location (inside). Salary range: €625,- till €650,- Project is long term till 28-12-2025. The ship metalworker will perform tasks in the section construction department. In this department, the complex sections are built from supplied kits. The sections are assembled from individual units. The final length of the sections is a maximum of +/- 12 meters, and the maximum weight is 80 tons. Responsibilities: Working with relatively thin material, maximum thickness 8 to 10 mm High accuracy required, tolerance is between +2 mm and -4 mm. The maximum deviation over a length of 6 meters is -3 mm Tack welding in all positions with Covered Electrode Ability to work independently based on drawings and parts lists Ability to operate a crane independently, thus safely lifting and moving loads Preparation: Reading drawings and parts lists, and based on these, finding and checking the necessary parts in the supplied kit The ship metalworker must be able to communicate in Dutch or English Ensuring a clean and safe working environment If necessary, moving/transporting materials using a crane We ask: When performing the tasks, attention must be paid to: Working neatly, accurately, and cleanly, quality requirements are high Ability to work both independently and in pairs Ability to tack weld in all positions with Covered Electrode *In vertical positions, weld downwards, not stacking Ability to cut with a torch, specific skills due to the thin material thicknesses Ability to grind Experience working with a theodolite and a level
