As a milling operator you have varied and precise work, playing a crucial role in the mission to produce offshore foundations for wind turbines, thereby making the energy transition a reality. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of steel tubes (up to 1,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines. Within our close-knit and dedicated team, you can make a difference. What will you do? As a milling operator you work with milling machines specially designed for the company. You are responsible for the machining of massive plates of approximately 42 tons and 27 meters long. You input programs into the automatic milling machine for the pre-processing of the plates. Since they work with such unique machines, you will always receive training. You work with a diverse team of various nationalities in a large hall. You collaborate with other operators, maintenance technicians and quality controllers to ensure that the foundations meet the highest standards. Good preparation is half the battle. Therefore, you receive a daily schedule, drawings, and work instructions. You check the dimensions and damages of the hulls to be processed. You also perform daily maintenance on the milling machine.
