- Skin Analysis products - Research & Development Optomechanical Engineer Job opening Your role at RiverD We are looking for an experienced Optomechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be the key link between optical design and production, ensuring that our spectrometer systems are backed by robust procedures, well-designed tooling, and clear technical documentation, keeping production aligned with design intent. What you will be doing - Support Production with optical and optomechanical solutions, working closely with production technicians and engineers - Develop production procedures (work instructions, assembly procedures, tools) - Develop and maintain engineering documentation with clear design rationale - Create optical designs and translate them into manufacturable specifications, understanding tolerances, mounts, and production constraints - Contribute to design reviews and communicate effectively with optical and mechanical engineering colleagues What we're looking for - MSc in Optical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline - 5+ years of experience in an optomechanical or optical instrumentation engineering role - Experience with CAD (e.g. Solid Edge) and tooling design for optical assembly - Proficiency in Zemax OpticStudio - Proven experience with optomechanical design for production: tolerancing, mounts, fixtures, and assembly procedures - Methodical and structured in approach: plans work carefully, executes, verifies, and documents - Experience in optical spectroscopy is a plus Other requirements - Proficient in English (spoken and written) - You must have the legal right to work in the EU Salary and Benefits We offer a competitive starting salary, dependent on experience and qualifications, and participation in the RiverD pension plan.
