About the team: The Smart Grid Technology Lab focuses on research in real-time simulation technologies, microgrid energy management, control systems, and other smart grid technologies. We apply cutting-edge technologies to the digital power industry. The lab has developed into a research organization with significant achievements and a strong impact in the industry. About the job: Developing grid integration technologies for grid-forming and grid-following inverters and converters. Work under a supervisor with a team of experts to develop a set of power system and control component models for power system EMT simulation. Implementing different grid-forming control strategies, such as droop or VSG, improving them, and implementing. different protection strategies for IBRs, such as anti-islanding protection. Developing protection and control algorithms in C/C++ and Python, and converting the developed algorithms in C/C++ and Python to DLL or .EXE files. Simulating microgrids in EMTP, PLECS, and/or Simulink. Generating C/C++ code of the simulated model and optimizing it for real-time simulation. Deploying different communication protocols, such as SV, GOOSE, MBUS, and IOT protocols. Working with the PLC controller to host the developed algorithm.
