Dierenartsenpraktijk Aan De Watergang is looking for an experienced and motivated veterinarian with a specialisation, or in the final stage of specialisation, in equine reproduction. As a specialist within our team, you play a crucial role throughout the entire reproduction process:<ul><li><strong>Performing artificial insemination (AI):</strong><ul><li>Monitoring the ovulation process and determining the correct insemination timing.</li><li>Inseminating mares with fresh, chilled or frozen semen.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Embryo transfer:</strong><ul><li>Flushing embryos from the donor mare.</li><li>Evaluating and preparing embryos for transfer.</li><li>Transferring embryos to recipient mares.</li><li>Aftercare and monitoring of the recipient mares.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Diagnostics and treatment:</strong><ul><li>Performing reproductive examinations.</li><li>Diagnosis and treatment of fertility problems in stallions and mares.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Guidance and advice:</strong><ul><li>Advising horse owners and breeders.</li><li>Providing information on the latest techniques and developments in reproductive medicine.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Documentation and administration:</strong><ul><li>Maintaining accurate patient records, insemination registrations and embryo transfer reports.</li><li>Reporting examination results and treatment plans.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Semen collection:</strong><ul><li>Collecting semen from stallions and preparing it for shipment.</li><li>Freezing semen.</li></ul></li></ul> Do you meet our expectations? <ul><li>You have completed a degree in Veterinary Medicine with a specialisation (or are in the final stage of specialisation) in reproductive medicine.</li><li>You already have experience with artificial insemination and embryo transfer in horses.</li><li>You have excellent diagnostic skills and knowledge of ultrasound.</li><li>You have good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of parties.</li><li>You are flexible and willing to work extra hours outside regular working hours when necessary.</li><li>You hold a category B driving licence.</li></ul> What's in it for you? <ul><li>A full-time contract of indefinite duration.</li><li>Are you moving to Belgium and in search of a place to live while you work here?
