Job summary
ESNEFT is one of the largest trusts in the east of England, with several of our services treating some of the highest numbers of patients in England. We are looking for a lead clinician to take overall responsibility for the care of patients on the in-patient and community ward(s) at Clacton Hospital, for 5.75 sessions per week.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include:
Providing exceptional clinical leadership at Clacton hospitalOverall responsibility for the care of patients on the in-patient ward(s) at Clacton hospitalWorking closely with medical staff at Clacton hospital and fostering the development of effective clinical teamsWorking closely with the ward managers, ACPs and nurse practitioner teams, to ensure that patient care is managed holistically and is of high qualityEffective use of EPIC and digital patient records, including in basket poolsParticipation in quality initiatives and clinical auditIn collaboration with clinical colleagues and service leads in primary, community and acute care pathways, ensuring the highest levels of quality care (patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness) across the wards at Clacton hospital and seeking to continually learn and improveCreating a patient safety culture by engaging with appropriate governance arrangements, enabling effective management of complaints, incidents and risk management, audits and learning to improve patient care.Support the development of learners. For example: GP trainees and nurse practitioners acting as a designated prescribing practitioner (DPP), undertaking supervision of trainee ACPs and GP trainee rotations.

Fully qualified GP with GMC registration Clinical qualification to post graduate level
