Responsibilities and Career Competencies:
• Manage inventory checkouts: Log instruments and equipment in and out for students and faculty. — T, P, C
• Organize storage rooms: Keep instrument lockers and equipment storage areas clean, organized, and accessible. — P, CT, TW
• Manage repair supplies: Maintain inventory of replacement parts and report shortages to the appropriate supervisor. — T, CT, P, C
• Inspect returned gear: Check instruments and equipment for damage, missing parts, or maintenance needs after use. — CT, P, CSD
• Set up rehearsals: Arrange chairs, music stands, percussion equipment, and other materials needed for ensemble rehearsals. — TW, P, CT
• Perform basic maintenance: Clean instruments and complete minor repairs or replace basic parts as needed. — CT, CSD, P, T
• Maintain music stands: Inspect, maintain, and complete minor repairs to music stands. — CT, P, CSD
• Assist guest artists: Help visiting musicians transport, organize, and set up personal or departmental equipment. — C, TW, P
• Enforce security protocols: Ensure storage rooms, equipment areas, and instrument lockers are properly secured after use. — P, L, CT
• Report repair needs: Document damaged or malfunctioning equipment and submit repair or maintenance requests to the Director of Bands. — C, T, CT, P
